OMG Butter

OMG Butter
Serves: 6-10

OBJ: TCW be able to take an already amazing item, butter, and make it even better

Ingredients:
6 TBS (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
½ head of garlic (about 8 cloves)
2 TBS extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
½  C (loosely packed) fresh basil, roughly chopped
S & P, salt and pepper

Procedures:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Cut off the top of the head of garlic and place, cut side up, on a large (12 x 12) piece of aluminum foil
3. Drizzle oil on top of garlic, then sprinkle red pepper flakes, and a “healthy” pinch of salt and pepper on top
4. Seal foil and roast garlic for 20 minutes, take out of oven, leave in foil and let completely cool
5. In a medium sized bowl, squeeze out garlic cloves
6. Add butter, a pinch S & P, basil, additional hot pepper flakes if desired, and stir well (use fork to break up garlic cloves)
7. Lay out a large (12 x 12) piece of plastic wrap, spoon butter into center and shape into a log
8. Using the plastic wrap to help you, roll up the butter and shape more into a roll and seal edges of plastic wrap (see below)

9. Place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours to set
10. Serve with bread or on top of steak, yyuuummmmm
